Do I need a UV light to apply CQuartz?
Not required but strongly recommended. The UV light shows high spots before they cure hard — they glow under the light. Without it you're wiping blind and may miss uneven coverage until it's too late to fix.
Can I apply CQuartz in my garage without a UV light?
Yes. Work one panel at a time, apply thin, wait 2-3 minutes for flashing, then wipe with a clean microfiber. The UV light makes the process easier and more consistent but the coating cures fine without it.
